On March 15th 2018 was held the very first edition of a unique and innovative event: Les Odyssées de la Relève AMBAQ 2018.  It’s at the iconic venue, the Bain Mathieu, that Administrators, succession specialists and successful buyers got together to celebrate the achievement of the new generation’s entrepreneurs.

The master of ceremony Jay Chevery made a big entry along with the very talented Cassandre Milard with a dance performance, signed by MAJYC, to mark the opening of the night. Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, Desjardins and The Association of MBA of Quebec dashed into this audacious adventure to promote and enhance not only the innovative projects of new business managers, but also the success of the assignors and the purchasers of companies transferred successfully. Desjardins awarded a $2,500 price to Laurence Robichaud-Hallé for her project "Préleveur", among four other MBA manager finalist; Erandi Motte Cortes won "De nouvelles façons de faire", Guillaume Godbout earned "Système de mesure des résultats pour calculer le ROI des PME en termes d’actions publicitaires " and Alexandre Gosselin was rewarded for "Flexitravail". They all distinguished themselves due to their innovation and their capacity to transform ideas into success.

Eric Dufour, partner, vice-president and national leader in transfer of companies, shared the mike with the organizer to lead the various teams of entrepreneurs in a participative game where their knowledge regarding entrepreneurial reality and succession buyers were challenged. It’s Marie-Pier Raymond's team from Cardio Shock that won a $5,000 award granted by Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, to advance and set up a project within the company. Five other finalists of OR 2018 succession buyers were competing: Sébastien Grimard; Grimard, Hugo Bouchard Beaulieu; Café Expert, Clyde Sharpe; Elasto Proxy, Charles Potvin; Les Cerfs d’Alexis and  Jonathan Coté; Morelli Designers.

A rich and inspiring evening, where big ideas become big projects!
